Can existing systems and records be reused?
Existing traffic activities, vehicles, schedules, carriers, and de-identified accident data can first be reviewed to confirm applicable periods, scope, and evidence quality before filling gaps; rewriting all documents is not a prerequisite for implementation.
How to track the safety performance of outsourced transportation?
First, agree on work-related safety data and abnormal incident reporting, review them in the context of transportation activities, and provide feedback on recurring issues to guide carrier selection and improvement arrangements.
How are consulting and third-party certification responsibilities divided?

Is it acceptable to only compare the number of accidents?
Traffic activities and exposure levels must also be considered in order to reasonably interpret changes; indicator definitions and denominators must be consistent, and a decrease in workload cannot be directly regarded as effective control.
Which version should be confirmed before implementation?
The edition covered is ISO 39001:2012 with Amd 1:2024, the first edition and its amendment. A working draft is not a published replacement. Confirm the edition used by the customer and assessment scheme and any transition arrangements. Publication of a standard does not itself set a company’s transition deadline.
