Is it necessary to complete the LCA first?
A full LCA is not a prerequisite for every project. Determine data needs from the design decisions and the intended use of public claims, then include quantitative analysis where needed.
Does this guarantee a lower-carbon product?
No. Implementing a management system alone does not establish that result. Carbon comparisons need consistent functions, boundaries and data, with assumptions and limitations clearly stated.
Can an OEM factory still do it without full design rights?
Identify the processes, material recommendations or packaging decisions you can influence. Confirm change authority with the customer and stay within that authority.
Is ISO 14006 an environmental label for products?
No. This service implements design management guidance. Environmental labels or product-specific verification follow their own schemes and must be arranged separately.
